Past Donations

On November 26th, 2024 SJB annonced the single largest donation in school history courtesy of the Ellement family.  The $700,000 donation was made to fund two important projects: artificial turf and the balance towards the school bursary. “The decision to make this donation was quite simple,” said Mrs. Ellement. “We’ve been very pleased and grateful for the education that our children, Clive, Nora, and Rose have received over the past six years at St. John Brebeuf. We’ve always wanted to contribute to a project that would positively impact the lives of all students, and the field is a natural choice given its daily use and because the intensity of its use inhibits the ability to grow grass.” Mr. Ellement also recognized the need to support the bursary fund. He shared that many of his friends from his days at St. Paul’s High School were benefactors of a strong bursary program and it is his sincere hope that this donation will allow for more students with limited financial means to enroll in St. John Brebeuf.
